Just a small observation: the speakers seem to be placed quite far apart and much higher above ear level (although they also do seem to be tilted slightly downward). I also wish to place the speakers as far apart as you have done, my room being of similar dimensions, but I'm wondering if the sound-stage is still good with them being that far apart and that too, above ear level? Thanks.

If ur watching far away (which seems to be the case here), you can have the speakers far apart aswell. You ought to aim for a triangle with the speakers and the listener (e.g. the speakers being 4 meters apart, the listener should be approx 4 meters away from both speakers) The height doesn't really matter that much, as long as they are tilted correctly towards the listener.

Can I ask how did you connect the speakers to the wall esp the centre one. Looks cool, I worry that people might kick it off kids might use the sub as a stool. Still in the box ever since it was purchased from Amazon.

I bought this setup a few months ago . Its ok and it is loud . Problem is the 3 inch drivers are absolutely horrible for sound quality . Very harsh with obvious cone breakup even at lower volume . I wonder if I could replace the satellites for better sounding bookshelf speakers ?

yes you can adjust volume of bass subwoofer from 0 to 100% volume with the control console box or remote.

Hi, I use the optical connection. It doesn't give you the latest audio tech like Atmos, but it does the job for me.

They do work with PC of course, but intended only for PC? Well, that just isn't true, who told you that? In fact, these allow the connection of multiple devices at the same time with the ability to switch sources and that alone demonstrates they are not intended for exclusive use by one type of device. In fact, on the official Logitech product page for the Z906 there is a list of compatible devices. Guess, what is first on that list? Television! PC is second. Sounds like you heard some bad info from somwhere and went with it.

@@SimonsReviews You misunderstand Thank the industry for standard cables that allow us to do things like this. But the market intentions for this setup is specifically for a desktop. It has less power and quality than proper surround sound system, by far. It's total wattage is quite low, especially individually per unit. While capable. It's definitely not recommended.

You initally shared a factual statement, which respectfully, I disputed. You have now followed up with a personal opinion which of course you are entitled to hold, but is not by any stretch an objective position. I don't for one moment doubt there are more powerful or just flat out better full surround sound systems that can be used. People, can literally spend thousands on their sound systems for all the bells and whistles. The Z906 cost me £200 when I brought it and has brought many hours of entertainment. There will always be more expensive options, that does not mean the Z906 is "definitely not recommended." I think we are going to just disagree on this, as I have found the Z906 to be a great 5.1 system for its price and I stand by that. But thank you for your comment.

Your not getting a correct true surround experience bud, you need to get an hdmi extractor that supports Hdmi ARC and it has to be connected to a TV that has hdmi arc or hdmi eARC and it ha sto have CEC connectability and it has to be Dolby Digital Decoded whice if done correctly the system will make true 5.1 surround format available. When the 3D or 4.1 is selected your not getter a true surround mix, its sadly a downmixed stereo sampler runner a fake 5.1 matrix stereo mix, true 5.1 sounds WAY better and has better audio quality and bass response. To know if youve done correctly the volume control panel should have a light that lights up on (decode) / (decoding) if its not lit, you do not have 5.1 surround on.

Hey man, Im looking at one of these extractors you speak of. My issue however (I think the fake 5.1 is actually ok lol) but im having audio delay using the Z906 through optical, ive tried everything, my last option is Using HDMI ARC from tv to Optical converter but im worried about spending the money only to find it adds even more delay... What do you think and what Converter would you recommend? I am in New Zealand so some converters are limited to what I can get here. Please let me know man, seems you know alot more then I do. Thanks man. P.s Ps5 is supreme hahaha

@@EverythingPS5Pro Seemingly, changing sound mode to Game Optimizer on my LG NANO86 seems to have worked, as apparently it's less processing time

@@Jimidybillybob i got major issues with my extractor and and so I just ended up plugging it in my PS5 through the TVs eARC port and used the Optical Port on the TV from the Z906 Surround System and it decoded and worked fine. However I had to tell the TV to run eARC automatic and Audio Out to HDMI Sound System and Digital Out Format to Multichannel (Bypass). Now this made the console run without any latency at all at Dolby Audio. HDMI Device (AV Amplifier) and telling the PS5 its 5.1 it just workes.

i have the z5450, z5500 and z906, the z5500 is still the best
