Really good sawmill, really fast, almost like the circular saws. I am going to make one like this with the 70cm sword and a 15kw motor

You will never beat a circular saw.. You can cut 5-10k bf/day with one of those even when they are 50-100 years old.. Only problem is the kerf but you make up for it in production (unless you saw nothing but cherry&walnut..).

No I know i also have a circular saw with 110cm blade and 22kw motor which saws really fast. But i am going to use the chain saw to cut bigger logs to pieces that fits in the circular saw

That one runs only 8kw motor for the electric mill but they are proud of it. You have to piece this mill together. $2500 motor $200 for the bar $75 for one chain $800 for the auto feed or $400 for manual and another $2500 for the actual metal mill. Can buy two harbor freight mills for that or a woodmizer.

I want the speed saw.. unfortunately its still not available in Canada! (I have the Logosol and I am happy with it.. I just find the chainsaw slow&ineffiecient.. I mean it does a great quality job and I am productive in 2-3" thick stock in small softwood but I think that speeds would make it much easier and more efficient.. I could probably start cutting 1" boards too)

Look l love it but it would only be good for the soft woods. That birch is soft and easy to cut. How about some hard woods. Try slabbing some aussie Blackwood or Ironbark. Make us a video on that

Vasile Pop hi the motor I have use 4,5kw and there’s a bigger version on 8kw. It’s 400V and 3fas for use living in Sweden. But Logosol have different versions depending on countries

Depends on how you look at it. Band saw vs. Chainsaw shavings each have their own creative benifits for other projects. I use my planer shavings for our dogs house bed. They are long shavings, and bind together well.

Thinking in buying this sawmill. Already have the chainsaw but don't know if this E37 does really apply to someone starting. How many kw does the electric motor draw? I suppose it's a single phase electric motor. The electric feed is a bit overkill for me.

Miguel Ángel Simón Fernández Hi The saw I use is on 5kW, there is a larger model called the Speed Saw E8 and it is on 8kW. My saw is 3-phase 400V is standard in all houses in Sweden. In the US then saw is 3-phase 230v. E37 is an automatic feed to which only fits on electric saws and power cutters to the sawmill.

Jim Watson depends how clean the bark is. But about 4-6 logs between sharpening sometimes more. I use Stihl PMX chain, it’s a 3/8 picco chain

I use Stihl PMX ripping chain, it’s a picco chain to minimize the saw kirf to 1/4” same as the click on the mill. You can run a normal chain but ripping is preferd

I live in Sweden and we are using metrics:) but the kerf is 6 mm with chain and 2,5mm with band. But the cut get perfect with chain even where you have big knots and strange grain. With the bandsaw you always get some movement up or down where you have knots

Why in the world doesn't the saw move up and down instead of the log ? If you can keep the log perfectly horizontal for each cut the weight of the saw moving would be nothing

Miguel Ángel Simón Fernández Water cooling is to cool the bar and chain, the chain speed is higher then on a regular chainsaw. Particularly when running in the drier or hardwoods the bar and chain get hot and then the chain oil's losing lubricating ability. Therefore water cooling to the bar is importent.
