Nice touch with the melody. Unfortunately the basedrum's tail doesn't tune with the melody. But, it's always a possibility in next tracks. Cheers. :)

@@przan I think you might have pitched bassdrums in mind. I was talking about a basic, fundamental music production mistake: a dissonance between key elements of a track. A bit of tune down or tune up and there would be no problem. These are two different things. :)

@@CJWarlock I thought you were talking about pitched bassdrums too. But nah, you know what you're talking about and I can respect that. I cant hear much issue though. How do you hear something like that?

@@chloverSP Just get some software synth or piano (synth would be better) on your computer (if you can, of course) or try a real instrument (a piano or even a guitar would do) and try this: play notes C and F or C and G together. They are mathematically "in sync" (kind of), therefore they sound pleasantly together, they fit together, they make sense. Even if you'd play C and D# together, they would fit nicely together. Because the step between them is big enough to form a chord. But if you'd play C and C# together - if would just sound like a mess. They interfere in a dissonant way. They do not cooperate. They do not fit together by any means, mathematical (pure numbers) or acoustical (wavelengths in real 3D space). If you'd detune one of the guitar's strings, that string wouldn't fit good with a corresponding string (lets's say C and G for example). You can try this if you have a guitar or can borrow one from a friend (only ask him first if you can detune it, haha). Once you'll hear it - you can't unhear it. :D In a real track, where 3 or more elements often play together, there has to be a certain logic to the step between their dominant frequencies. For example, they have to make a chord or all be in one note. Let's say a most popular chord is C E G. If the melody has a dominant part that fits well with the C note, the bassdrum would sound very good if it would be in C or E or G note (of course several octaves lower). If the melody uses let's say notes like C F G A and the bassdrum's tail would be more like C#, it would just sound like shit, dissonant, not-fitting to the rest, detuned from the whole track. Like a pair of work boots covered in wet concrete at an elegant ball in an elegant restaurant. Like an elephant in a store with a china. It would not only not fit, it would destroy the rest of the track and damage the experience for everybody. XD I'd write a food or drink analogy but I've just remembered people tend to eat or drink different crazy combinations of ingredients so I won't write it. ;)

@@CJWarlock i can hear what you're saying now actually, thank you so much for explaining that to me! i rlly apreciate you for taking the time to explain that so in depth lol. the lower end of the bass drum in certain areas like 0:39 especially sticks out like a bit of a sore thumb to me now, but i also do hear missalignment in the low bassy bits of the rest of the track too. again, thank you :D
