Phew !!! That was close. I thought you were about to expose me in this pi. You know, for fishing in closed season... Hehehe. Can't go anymore. Health just isn't kind enough any more. Any back the the painting. Lovely and bright. Need as the current winter is reluctant to loosen it's tight grip. It's giving a little hope for the spring to follow, as we bid fare well the a winter of sorrow. (Yeah, I lost my Mum in November). As usual sweet lady, I love it, and feel enthused to try something similar. TTFN. P.S. Best not tell Morgaine that the dragon the dwells withing the darkest reaches of her storm, is word for word from the bible. Only it's called the Leviathan in there. Till next time, Bye.

Would THE Graham Nash actually use his real name? Brave, seems fans like me would be all over it but apparently your fans have more self control than I. 😍

Lovely! I’m learning much from you and Morgaine. Curious: do you use paint straight from the tube each time, or from the palette or pans?
@LoisDavidsonArt Жыл бұрын
Thanks Cherie, we both paint from freshly squeezed paint from tubes each time! 😊

Hi Lois - love your tutorials and they always turn out nice even though I am not v good. I have problems with the wash technique, it always seems to be either too wet (puddles and dripping) or too dry (dries before the paint gets on and then doesnt diffuse!) could this be due to the quality of the paper (I use cold pressed) or should I leave the water to soak in a while or am I leaving it too long! Sorry I am not sure what I am doing wrong...
@LoisDavidsonArt Жыл бұрын
Thanks Lizem, it could be any of those things. Controlling the water in the mixes of paint, paper and brushes is one of the hardest things about learning watercolour painting, but keep practicing and trying different things to find what works for you. Try to avoid your paper swimming with water, it should be wet but with no puddles
