How to paint a simple, loose Watercolour Sunrise, watercolor landscape/seascape

/ loisdavidsonart Sometimes the sunrise at dawn turns everything a delicate shade of pink for a few minutes, so beautiful! This is what I was trying to achieve here in this quick, simple wet in wet tutorial/demonstration, it could be anywhere, but for me, it's the North coast of Cornwall.
Materials: Millford cold pressed 140lb paper, 11" x 15"/28cm x 38cm, various brushes, see video, plastic store card, raw sienna, rose madder, cobalt turquoise red shade, sepia and paynes grey. My board is at an angle of about 45-60 degrees. Lois, I am so grateful for you. For the past few months, what w/ things the way they are the world over, I became so depressed I just lost my mojo. My brother had asked me to do a painting for his home, and I've made so many visuals of it, but I cant find the right composition or colour combo or anything really. I was struggling to achieve anything of beauty. Last night I stumbled upon your videos, and I've already tried two of your tutorials. Not only that, but I pulled out my good (expensive!) papers to do them, after a very long time, and I cant tell you what fun I've had! Your videos have really freed me and helped me to paint in large strokes, and loosen up, and not think too hard about making something perfect and well-planned. I've just gone with the flow and its been a breath of fresh air. And to ditch the cheap paper and use the lovely 100% cotton large sheets -- Oh my God I'd forgotten how good that feels! So good to hear you championing Cotman watercolours, there is so much hype on KZbin from painters insisting on only Artist grade paints. I have been using Cotman for over 40 years and but for a few bad batches out of China it has served me well. Love their 21ml tubes and can't live without their cerulean blue hue on my palette.
