Carl is working hard to let everyone know it's safe in Loja. It is safe now and it has been. The crackdown on the trafficantes is elsewhere. I am sure he wouldn't expose his family to any danger. If I had his energy I'd be making more trips to the provencial capital. I might be going up in a few days to buy a guitar. I need less screen time and more time picking and strumming. Maybe I can make a "Ranchera, or Corido" about gringos in Vilcabamba. Tell the stories of our southward migration. Express in song how grateful we are to Ecuador for its welcoming embrace. Dios bendiga ecuador!
