Gotta love those swim baits and senkos, like norm said just wasn't the right time for that spook, but looked like ya'll had a good time anyway and that's what counts.
@shanek36026 жыл бұрын
I like that spook you bought. I catch a lot on those. My biggest one (6lb) was caught on the bone (solid white) color one this past June.
@dave-hc2vi6 жыл бұрын
There's no question about the effectiveness of a weightless Senko where I'm at, but similar worms from other companies don't perform a whole lot worse for way less money. The biggest difference I've noticed is just that fish will hold on to a Senko for quite a bit longer. In tough conditions or with finicky fish that can make a big difference. In my experience Zoom's equivalent worm is the best cheaper option. Much more durable than Senko, much cheaper on top of the added durability, and catch plenty of fish on them. Guess they don't like to keep those lower prices with their swim baits...Have never tried that KVD topwater. Kinda partial to the classic Heddon Zara Spook, although those aren't much cheaper than that KVD version. Great video. You're right, I see tons of videos on how the cheap stuff performs but very few on the expensive stuff. Doesn't hurt to know if there are cases where spending the little extra money is worth it even if I'm likely to go with the cheaper options 99% of the time. As a side note, I find lots of brand new, unopened lures and other tackle at garage sales, estate sales and auctions. For those of you who happen to read this and haven't checked any of those out you can often get boxes of brand new gear for a few bucks.

Just stopping by to say Hi. Now that the weather is finally going to cool off this weekend maybe I can get some decent fishing in and not sweat myself to death, and hey maybe even get a bite or two. The bite has been absolutely hard, as in none here because it's been so hot.We don't need the rain here in NC from the storm but man am I glad for the cooler weather. Also I might have a slight case of beard envy.....
