Gotta admit, i was hootin and hollerin for Andrew when he caught that nice catfish too. I love the camaraderie aspect of huntin and fishin. I get just as excited when a fishin or huntin buddy catches a big fish or shoots a nice deer or bear etc as if i caught or killed it myself.

A high torque 3500-4500 open face would be sick too, instead of salt reels.. But there are good options but the torque isn't there until you get in the 5-6k reels.

River fishing tip: When u get snagged in a rock while reeling in a fish or just your rig; try walking down the bank the opposite way you were reeling. *This won't work always but has saved me tons* Great fish, congrats!

These are definitely fun videos. One suggestion: Get you one of those really big nets that you can drop down to the water with a heavy rope. Much safer than those rocks, and way more convenient. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing how the pond is looking!

Great second spot lojo. Used to fish that same spot several years ago while in the area doing floor work after hours at several Lowe's in the area. Traded my sleeping hours off for countless cups of livers, net fulls of shad and constantly bent rods. Awesome video!!!!

Reminds me of when I was younger and fishing Lake Eufaula Dam in Oklahoma. 47 lb was the biggest on rod and reel with untold in the 20+ lb ranges. My PaPa, dad brother and I would go there and catch catfish, stripper, sandbass/ white bass,largemouth bass, crappie and bluegill. Thanks for bringing great videos and memories back.

G'day from Queensland Lojo. I've been having a bit of fun watching you throw these big sticks that most American anglers I've seen, have almost no idea exist. Here in Queensland 10-16 feet is very common for beach and surf fishing, with 12-13 being most common. With that said, I'd like to offer you two pieces of advice. At 19:00 when trying to land fish on that wall, look at getting a drop net. It's a type of landing net that is basically an upside-down cast net with a metal ring in the skirt. You lower it over the side and steer the fish into it and then haul it up. This saves you having to climb over rocks and such to retrieve your fish. It can also be a much easier way to release the fish and will radically reduce the chance of breaking a rod when dead-lifting a large fish on the rod. When fighting a large fish with a long rod, try getting your right hand a lot further up the rod for more leverage and try to avoid having the rod butt between your legs. Forearm curls on weights day can help with this too lol. It was bloody nice to see Andrew haul that big guy in! He's really settled in to the channel and has become almost as important in front of the camera as behind it. Keep on smashing them!!

Yeah it’s crazy how people just throw trash down Hopefully the spillway company won’t stop people fishing there around here where I live there are some pond owners and some owners that let people use their land to go to the river have stopped access and have put up Gates because people dumping trash out . and at some of our best spots we go to we spend more time picking up trash than fishing. Then people wonder why they can’t fish there anymore. But anyhow sorry for rant .. 👍👍I really enjoy Yall you Two are more like Brothers than anything else.
