Not that cinema doesn't have criteria, but anyone who knows about cinema even if it's small , they wants to be a director. But this guy sounds knowledgable and have good sense on movies than many directors(which i think is critical for making cinema) 2) i just want to see his perspectives how he want to approach movies. it can be complete failure , I may not even like it but it's just that his perspectives on good movies and trend is something I am really interested in.

This is the first interview I've viewed of Lokesh Kanakaraj. BR has us mesmerized once again taking the viewers on a journey wherein cinema is viewed from so many perspectives...we get to understand more about the various elements coming into play in the making of a film( bothcommercial & creative) & at the same time, he's able to make the interviewee open up freely about his thought processes & his style of working.Especially loved the part where Lokesh shared about how he & Karthi had discussions before shooting ...his comment on how certain words need to be changed keeping in view how effective it would be when an actor delivers it speaks of his creative genius as a director . These are the little nuggets that make BR's interviews stand apart.Lokesh 's dedication comes across very clearly.Loved his myriad expressions while listening to the questions & the inherent truthfulness in his replies.It would be interesting to watch him evolve & the trajectory his career would take .The interview makes us eagerly wait for his collaboration with Vijay for as a viewer after watching Bigil I couldn't help but wonder what Vijay 's next project would be as he is so talented & yet not able to come out of his star trappings catering to the masses with a certain built image whereas the trend in the industry seems to shift more towards story & content rather than mass templates.

OMG , lokesh gets inspired from bharadwaj's questions. He made Vijay vulnerable in master as he answered that it can be done with any actor. Also, looks like Vikram is dirty Harry's inspiration and bharadwaj also encouraged him to take it. Superb Lokesh ,you take in sensible people's opinion and work on it. He takes in the viewers pov,critics pov . Great and hope all his movies remain as his movies and not an actors market influence.

Director Pandiarajan's age was just 25 when he directed the movie Kanni Rasi year 1985 (Prabhu & Revathi). I think that the movie was Prabhu's 30th movie. So giving an opportunity to debut director by a seasoned actor started long back.
