Apparently in the original script there was a line where he found out the truth and he simply says that Odin should have left him to die.

@@toastedtarts4044 he raised Loki to not only hate his own race, but manipulated both Thor and Loki into thinking that killing them was acceptable. The only reason Odin was mad that they went to Jotunheim was because they disobeyed him. He was very aggressive whenever something didn't go his way. If Loki found out that he was kidnapped from his biological family (which is heavily implied when Odin repeatedly changes the story of how he found Loki), then he could possibly want to go find his birth parents, who again were a race that is very much hated in Asgard, and by doing so would probably be labeled as treason. Look what happened to Hela: she did what she was raised to do (kill and conquer) Odin changed his mind once Thor came into the picture. He sent all of the Valkyries to end her because she wasn't doing what he told her, and then covered it all up (but seriously how did no one in Asgard remember or tell Thor and Loki???). Sorry if this is really a long explanation, but that's what I've noticed through the movie trilogy.

@@grandcanyon-fu9zt It was hidden on Earth by Odin initially because he thought the humans to be too primitive to understand it, much less use its power. Later on, after the red skull, it was kept by SHIELD until Loki (Avengers 2012). It was after that, that Odin kept it in his vault.
