Till Ragnarok movie, he was only betraying Thor which made Thor very angry and lost of trust and became annoyed of him. Loki tried to kill him when they both were kids, sent a destroyer after him at Thor movieand though Thor refused to fight Loki to stop him from killing an entire race, he provokes him by mentioning his caring love. Thor is not a man of carrying vengeance and throwing at maximum at Loki. Thor's love and affection for Loki was just seen only after they escaped Ragnarok and in the post credits scene it was shown. Also in the Avengers 1, when others were talking that Loki's merciless actions, Thor disagreed it and told he's adopted and disturbed by misunderstanding. Also Loki was responsible to making hela release out of her prison and he refused to reach Asgard. The shock treatment was just to show his anger against Loki. Like the parents who beat their children though they didn't to do it, I'm not saying that Loki is bad, he just lack conviction just like Phil cousin said in avengers.

And above all, I think he did it for and because of Frigga. I guess you’re right Odin was in charge of the spell that made him an asgardian until loki was old and skilled enough to do it by himself So yeah if he dies he should be turned into a frost giant again And he should i mean loki is very strong compared to normal humans but he’s still nowhere near thor’s toenail in physical strength Maybe if he was turned into a frost giant it could make his magic powers be equal to his sheer strength

@@unknownfan6520 he is still alive because he stole the infinity stone in end game. And the reality changed because they have to come back to time to get the infinity stones. So the scene in the infinity war which where loki died did not happend. Like.. literally everything changed.

I feel like Loki is the most misunderstood villain that Marvel had. I mean he's not a villain anymore but while he was it was mostly out of hurt when he found out that he was a frost giant. He just wanted to earn his rights as an asgardian but instead he was living in the shadows of being "Loki, Thor's brother" instead of "Loki, God of Mischief". Loki is not bad. He is broken. Everyone in Asgard hates frost giants and Loki hated them too. But when he came to know that he is one of them he felt angry, raged and........ broken. He is the most beautiful character I have ever seen in marvel.
