When I see the promo pics, I were in love with Goldie.. Something about her screams Brigitte Bardot/Jane fonda or even Goldie Hawn… And I wanted her.. Now watching your review, It was very hard to pick just one.. Aya is full anime inspired, so she is a must have.. Lexie’s lolita fantasy look is just adorbs.. and Gracie is so cute and nostalgic..Oh lord.. I need them four. Great review.. I do think this (and RH tweens) are the options MGA is giving us, to keep the line affordable...

Aya actually makes me think of Tomoyo from card captors with her hair the color it is, Tomoyo also wears a hat similar to Aya's during a lot of the anime. Also Aya's bag looks like its more styled after the japanese school bags for k-6. They are called randoseru. Which is a leather-like back pack that's firm and holds it shape and can fit many school items. I say compared to a single anime, it seems like Aya is maybe a mix of a bunch. I really do like Aya's seifuku through. ^-^ She's very pretty. And she's like very high on my list of one of the ones I wanna get so badly!

I LOVE Cardcaptor Sakura! Haha I can see a bit of Tomoyo in her too (she was so cute on the rare occasions she did wear pigtails)! Something we forgot to mention in the video is that Aya’s lil sis has a bag accessory of a white cat marked with a star on its head (rather than a crescent moon - like Sailor Moon’s Luna & Artemis)! The same starry-headed kitty appears in Aya’s packaging. We believe her main inspiration is Sailor Moon-related, but you’re definitely right it’s a bit open-ended overall and likely pulls from other anime too. And yes! You do still get a cute backdrop, but I can see why some may miss the larger more reusable packaging. Personally though I prefer the window display to inspect for defects. Opening a surprise doll only to discover issues with the face is super frustrating. Thanks for watching! -Max
