I an a old diehard metal head and generally hate 98% of new pop music. Enter Lola Young who has blown me away with her incredible vocals and amazing presence for such a young performer. Her delivery is very real like she’s lived a rough long life. Not fake and polished and saccharine like the pop stars that are saturating music today.

my first exposure to Lola was an advert on UK youtube couple of years ago, maybe TV, she was sitting there reading a monologue an i fell in love with her vibe, googled her, heard her tunes and got obsessed instantly. Crazy to see the hype. Awesome.

This is my first time watching you as your video came up recommended because I've had this song on repeat for a week. You and I have the exact same reactions to the same things. The nuances in Lola's voice that make this a stand out song vs. a normal american radio bop electrify the song and give me goosebumps. I fell out of love with music, my only true love and career for 15 years prior, in 2016 but it's a song like this that hits so differently that I can almost taste my first musical "kiss" again, so to speak. If this is what is waiting in the wings then maybe I need to get back to work in the independent sector and keep pushing the revolution and overhaul of the music industry I've dreamed about for 38 years.
