i want to mention one crazy detail i noticed 6:02 akali does the same combo akalies always do, R into E, but this time she didn't do it in the direction of zoe's tower which is the direction they always do, she did it sideways, which was a perfect read on Zoe expecting it and throwing E behind her

3:38 for clarification e range doesnt become ''shorter'' it stays the same as it would have been when not e flashing, meaning u can change the starting point of ur e with e-flash but not increase range. if u would flash away from ur target ur e would for example seem to b longer bcs it will still travel to the point it would have been when u didint flash

I get what you're saying but it was a good call as he had no guarantee on E. E came off cd barely after R1 and even with Q slow he has to play a 50/50 on dodge(assuming no flash on Zoe). Because she *had* flash, she just flashes E on reaction and the distance gain while Akali is stuck in animation lag makes him drop the kill entirely. It's more of a two-way knowledge check because he knew he had lethal without E and Zoe, presumably, thought he didn't without it, so while she's looking out to dodge E and/or passive AA(really just any damage but mostly E), she gets walked down by passive AA+Q. In hindsight, the "correct" play is for Zoe to flash immediately on reaction to R1 if they think it could be lethal. Depending on game time + objectives on map, trading your summ for akali r and not dying is pretty worth. But again, this is all in hindsight, and I'm not KR gm+ so.

its just like Lux's law, her Q applies more pressure if you just hold it because your opponent will play the entire fight around it, just like Akali's E. Of course it's Akali's main damage and hardest skill to hit, but that's why u build Liche's and dont miss a single passive

The difference between playing Akali top and mid is amazing. Mid you assassinate, but top you use your passive and do long trades. You also usually build different items. Mid usually heavy magic pen items, top Liandry Rift maker is the usual core build. Only thing that doesn't really change is runes, outside of Electrocute being almost always used mid. I wish there was more videos of Akali top since it's where I play her most of the time with good success, but mostly as a counterpick to juggernauts and Jax. Great video as always!

The range is on E Flash is definitely shorter, but the range is as far as the E would have gone from its original cast position. It's basically like it skips the distance traveled by the flash
