Nilah was always an interesting marksman for me, but I don't really undertand the reason why is she so unpopular. She doesn't have an extremely complex kit that would discourage players. So why is she far less popular than the ADC's we got in the past years, like Zeri and Smolder? Does she behave more like a counterpick, perhaps? Or is her usefulness greatly dependant on team composition? I thought I'd ask a Nilah main on the matter 😄

@@JohnRengo-h4w fellow nilah player! i think it's mostly cause you put yourself in a disadvantage being a melee marksman compared to being ranged... and the way she plays is more like a midlaner like irelia or yasuo, so traditional ADC mains who are more used to staying back and kiting probably would find her kit weird... nilah feels like an adc made for midlaners who wanna try the role... just my two cents 😅

For me I always thought Nilah was cool but was intimidated by her because I thought she was too difficult. I mostly play Gwen and briar so when I started an adc climb her kit clicked much faster than other adcs and my cs was always even

So, a few questions as a new Nilah player because how you play is very different from all the builds/guides I've seen so far. Why E over Q first? Why this build over others?

all this information is in the guide i posted but E over Q because Q max gives barely any damage early game and E gives more damage + lower cooldown on her dash

Thank you for the content. Can you explain the reasoning behind going essence reaver vs collector For essence you get 25 ability haste +10 ad and 100 g from cost. But doesnt the better collector passive and leathality make up for that?

essence reaver gives better stats and a real passive that makes nilah a manaless champion whereas collector is just a bad item after all the nerfs to it, you're handicapping urself if u buy it first, even draven players stopped buying collector

I saw your last one, which was ER into DD/BT, but I seen some Nilahs go Botrk, and pros go mostly collector/IE... and I have a question, what are the best supports for Nilah? So far from what I played, the best felt Soraka, Taric and hard engage supps (Pyke, Leona)... Thanks and good educational video

A couple seasons ago you ran teleport on Nilah occasionally, is that ever viable still? If so, when, and if not, why? Great vids btw, I love Nilah but almost never see her since I'm low elo

it is still viable yes, but only into matchups are vs afk mages like seraphine, ziggs, etc. where you cant really kill them reliably unless they are inting

Hey enryu thx for the video. Have you ever tried running the 3 elixirs as secondary runes with the free boots instead of cosmic insight ? I know CI is great and is always valuable but I find this 3 elixirs rune really great to enable your snowball in lane 1st elixir isn’t that important but it’s still good to get 40g for free and an easier push to recall for tempo 2nd elixir is where this rune starts to shine giving you 12AD (worth 400g) for a minute at lvl 6 really helps you get that surprise dmg to win your 2v2 all in easely around lvl 6 and it gives you a good start for your snowball 3rd elixir is REALLY good too. I like doing 4 points E into max Q like you do and having 4 points in Q AND 4 points in E lvl 9 (and Q maxed lvl 10 instead of 12) is such a game changer it’s really good and increases your Q dmg by quite a lot actually which again helps you snowball lane harder

it gets more damage than Q, it lowers the CD; it's just overall way better

Q max scales with ad harder, e max gives cd and the BASE dmg is a lot higher. So Q max is better with items, so maxing q second when you have more items makes sense and E lets you have more mobility more trading

Yep basically what everyone said, more damage early and lower cooldown on dash whereas Q max will be better second since we will have more AD by that time

i think coaching is overrated because there's so much resources online, I recommend improving on fundamentals (farming / positioning / fighting) on your own first, then if you're at your wit's end then feel free to dm me for coaching

I don get it. I so desperately dont want to drop this champion, and see the good in her new builds but rushing essence or whatever and building into dd just doesnt fulfill champion fantasy the way it did. I miss collector build, i miss 40 stack ravenous waveclear, god. Shes only fun to play in aram nowadays, where you dont get puniahed for building full crit, as its meant to be

Sometimes ur plays looks weird for me, for example you almost always use both dashes really fast, its better to use one and smash them with q + aa and leave second dash for finish

It all depends how long of a window you have to dps. He mostly uses both dash when he knows enemy flash is up which makes him stay in range for some aa even if enemy flashes out resulting in a better trade

it depends, sometimes you don't have the time to do the full combo since nilah can get kited really hard and sometimes you use both dashes instantly in case you think they might dash away or something
