Mephisto simply must make a dramatic return in season 3! He clearly had the power to escape the blast if he reacted quickly enough. Despite his appearance, Mesphisto does actually have some pretty good reflexes. Oh, I hope that, in season 3, he helps the princesses battle his sister! Maybe he'll do it in secret and help them from from the shadows, casting helpful spells from out of their view and silently watching over them as he tries to find a way to save his sister from her evil ways. The princesses could slowly come to realize that there's a hidden party helping them in the fight against Praxina that will lead to a huge climax of them discovering that Mephisto is still alive and was the one helping them! There are various hints throughout the series that Mephisto does respect the princesses and he does admit that he'd be proud to fight alongside them if they weren't enemies. Oh, just thinking about the role Mephisto could play in season 3 is making me so pumped for it! Please make sure season 3 comes as quickly as possible! I'm dying to see what happens next!

My guess is that Mephisto will make a dramatic return in season 3 and will join the princesses in the fight against the newest evil: his sister Praxina. If you pay attention to him during the fight, he shows signs of doubt while Praxina was laughing and enjoying Gramorr's "victory". It was even shown several times throughout the series that Mephisto is willing to team up with the princesses and actually thinks highly of them. He even admits that he'd be proud to serve them as one of their soldiers if they weren't sworn enemies. It seems to me that the only reason he joined Gramorr's side was because of his sister. Had he been given the chance, I'm sure he would have gladly joined the princesses's fight against Gramorr. Oh, I absolutely cannot WAIT for season 3!

With him being able to use magic, I want to believe that Mephisto managed to escape somehow. Whether he's comatose or afflicted with amnesia after the backlash, perhaps it's wishful thinking on my part, but I really want to believe he's still alive. I hope to see some evidence of that in season 3 at least... Well, that, and I'd like to see some more development as far as Bane's part in all of this. Up until this point, we've believed Gramoor held the reigns, but that was quickly disproven (at least in my eyes) when the flaming big cat abandoned his so-called master and went after Praxina. This leads me to believe that there's something way bigger at work than anyone knows and it all leads back to Bane. Who or what is he really and what is it he's after? (And I hope to everything that it's not the cliche take over the universe/world mumbo jumbo that nearly all villains spout) Speaking of season 3, anyone have ANY info on it yet? Like an estimated release date or maybe even news on how far the development has progressed? I've scoured whatever legitimate source I could find, including Twitter threads, but nada. It's been well over a year since the end of the second season, and I know that animation takes time, lots of it in fact and delays are never predictable, so it's understandable. But sometimes, teasers are at least 'leaked' to show the audience what to possibly expect or a tiny tidbit of info to get them hyped. But so far I've seen nothing...
