I need to find more bands with this kind of neoclassical power shred! This is still incredible after many years of listening to it. Majestic is another of the keyboardist bands, and also heard vitalij solo stuff and ring of fire, any other bands y'all recommend would be appreciated, need this kind of virtuosity though. Thank you

@Dr_Darklord10 жыл бұрын
I agree, and I hate when people call a band a rip-off of another band. They know what they want to sound like, and that's how they play. If you don't like it don't listen to it, but don't give them shit because they're not the first band to go for the sound they're doing. I promise you that every band takes some influence from someone else and you could probably call any band a a rip-off of something else if you dig deep enough. Why does it matter?
@perpetual6110 жыл бұрын
Garrett O'Rourke I agree what many don't realise is look at the genre Neo-Classical/Power Metal many bands due tend to sound alike and it's only because every band does influence each other. Many say oh look they're stealing from the classical composers and they're trying to be the next Beethoven, Mozart or Paganini. When all they are doing is carrying on for further generations to enjoy and influencing others in the process. We should be so lucky that we have this kind of music to enjoy.

I think Malmsteen is a brilliant technical guitar player, but his composition leaves a bit to be desired because he does rework a lot of classical pieces, one of which is Mozart's 25th Symphony, which he used as the basis for Overture 1622. Shredding was never particularly popular in clasical music, I imagine because there were some fears that it took away from the melody, which isn't completely untrue.

The progressive parts are really cool. The neo-classical parts sound pretty horrible though. sounds exactly like like mr malmsteen and all of his stuff sounds the same...so i feel like i've heard this song a million times before even though i've only heard it once. i think the self proclaimed sole creator of neo-classical rock\metal also single handedly destroyed it by being so repetitive.
