Another way to have done this would have been to take the cumulative number of Premier League points teams had ever won and then made them give them back. That's obviously a lot of points, so you could have made it 1% or 10% of the amount or something. Then teams wouldn't have just been punished for how long they were in the Prem, but also by how successful they had been in the Prem

Would love to see a "Salary Cap" enforced in each country's top divisions. Even teams coming up into the top league have to abide by the Salary Cap. The teams would have to spread the wages over the squad, do they pay a couple of big players stupid money or keep a more rigid wage structure to spread the wages about and have a more balanced team? could be interesting

What if you make two laws to professional football (so not only Premier League), to level the playingfield... Transfer-cap and salary-cap. As example: If you are in a league that's 1-5 in reputation , you have a transfer-cap of £50m. and a weekly salary-cap of £500.000. If you are in a league that's 6-10 i reputation, the numbers goes down. And so on :) That way, you'll have to adjust all the time, depending on your league, and no single team can run awry with spending and salary :)

I'd love to see a video where you just took the end of season positions from 22/23 and completely reversed them, then started the season. How long would it take for "normality" to be restored, how would the smaller clubs deal with having suddenly massive budgets etc.

The big teams would still get massive budgets because they have much bigger incomes, it might help a couple of teams but I doubt a single seasons reversal would do much

I think the variability in how much teams were punished has much to do with the randomness of the generated youths. Teams that are unlucky in the draw early on in their transfer embargo collapse and may have to downgrade facilities even if they had a good set up, but if you get a golden generation and maybe even outperform you facilities, you can stay afloat with them for 15 years.
