There seems to be a thing this year in FM where if you loan someone with an optional future fee the transfer fee is given to you this year assuming it will happen, then when it doesn't your finances are shot. In my Sunderland save I had £160m sat in transfer budget for January and come December the board take it all off me because of financial issues

Agree with the other commenters suggesting Villa would be a great move if it became available. Makes sense geographically but would also be interesting for the series. Usually in NLTL you go from an overperforming side struggling in the prem to a top six side. Villa aren’t in that club, but have the fanbase and potential for you to take them a long way.

I don't think the Zerouki signing is too disasterous, if it was around 4 mil most people would look at it like good business if it was all you could do, but hindsight always makes things look funny. Still if you get 2 good years out of him as a squad option then sell him to someome for 3 mil its good business IMO

In the last real-life season, Everton stayed in the league with 36 points.

In my own save, the magic number looks to be 34 points to stay up. Kev is 2 points off that tally with 8 games to go and (more importantly) is 8 points clear of the team in 17th, not just the bottom 3. Burton are safe barring a calamitous run of form and the teams below all deciding to pull their fingers out together

So if money was added to your balance due to an optional future fee, how come same doesn't apply other way when a obliged fee is in place with one of your signings. Somehow Money suddenly comes out of nowhere since last episode, somehow team cohesion amazing despite broken lines display for the player link ups. As usual any signs of going against the kev is the bestest narrative somehow suddenly disappear. Somehow emperor palpatine has returned.

A lot of weird things in this version of FM, sadly. Doesn't do s.i or football manager fans who have chose to spend their money on the game any favours. For the rest, total agreement. not just your knack for the game that has us all coming back , it's the personality and presentation. Speaking of weird, before I went into the "somehow" spiel, I did put fm24 is being more antagonising than usual this year(aliens, pretty much every team in every division using the pep tactic, ai teams lack of team development over the seasons despite s.i selling point and hyping the upgrade on that), but luckily the game is not just the main selling point of Mr Chapmans videos, but there will be those that will get their knickers in a twist and wail........somehow etc. So that nice cut from my comment made me sound like a member of Bob Marleys band, when it actual fact , pinching from another famous franchise, I feltl like one of those people who received a message from old what's their name,through a burning bush. Our wonder kid O'Donoghue has a dreadful first season in the Premier League. 1 goal and a garbage average rating. Also Devine has been negatively verified by the Prem, he has 3 goals while being top scorer a tier below just year ago. Thank God for Leaburn.
