Clear robbery. Everybody who knows boxing knows it, including the biased LDBC/New Media/Muslim fans who make out the decision was fair. I've watched the full fight 3x & anything between 6-6 even to 8-4 Loma is acceptable to me. Haney UD = disgusting robbery. Teddy Atlas said it best that 115-113 for either fighter was an acceptable score, as 114-114 would have been as well. Scoring 116-112 for either fighter was bad. It was a much closer flight than fans want to admit because they just don't like Haney. They each had five rounds where they outlanded the other, and two were even, with Haney landing an overall higher percentage of punches, and did a good job of going to the body. Loma did a good job of applying pressure. It was just too close.

Not for the first time, I dislike Canelo but he's a good example because Teddy wrongfully called the 2nd GGG fight a robbery, as much as I want to believe that I don't. The Haney vs Loma fight was IMHO. It's not amatuer boxing, punch quality matters & for ineffective punches 1:1 head/body, head is generally worth more. Loma outlanded Haney in power punches & a significantly out landed him with headshots. I had it 8-4 live, 7-5 rewatch & 6-6 is being as realistically generous as I can to Haney. 7-5 Haneys way doesn't seem reasonable to me & the fact all 3 judges gave it to him just screams robbery. The consensus view is that Lomachenko won that fight, this is best evidenced with Fight Hub TVs 132k poll, I have the screenshot saved for reference & it reads 72% Loma, 16% Haney & 12% draw. So just 16% of 132,000 scored it to Haney. Loma has plenty of haters too, they will tell you Salido beat him fair & square and Haney clearly beat him. Never acknowledge the fact that he's a natural featherweight & call him a hype job, Eurobum etc. 🤷‍♂

A lot of fans think that the overall number of punches, harder punches, or that the most punches thrown matters, when none of that is true. Clean (not hard) punches, defense, ring generalship, and effective aggression is what matters. Head or body shots don't count more than the other. Loma scored slightly more body shots but at a lower percentage, which matters far more. For example, if Fighter #1 throws 30 punches in a round and lands 12, but Fighter #2 throws 15 and lands 8, then Fighter #2 is generally going to win that round because his aggression was more effective. Loma's face was beat up after that fight worse than when he fought Teo, and so was this right side from his lat down to his waist. That's why the the actual boxing community has it going either way, or a draw, but very few actually call it a robbery. Most fans say robbery because they can't score fights, but the overall boxing community who actually knows the sport don't say that. And let's be real, Loma may have haters, but we can't pretend that it's anywhere near how many Haney has. Did you hear the applause when Loma came to the ring? He was cheered, Haney was booed. Every time Loma threw punches, even when the replay showed him hitting gloves, the crowd cheered.

@@3Brandon11 It would seem there's a handful of different 'preferred' ways to score a fight which keeps judges dishonest... I wouldn't mind if judges were consistent with his/her criteria but most of them are not & will favour the house favourite regardless of their style. Unlike MMA where the scoring criteria is clear hence why actual robberies rarely happen in the UFC for example. I take all of those boxing criteria you mentioned into account in close rounds but the way I've understood it for going on 20 years is that damage is the primary criteria for pro boxing. I disagree that head/body shots are the same if nobodies punches were visibly effective. IF the body shots are having more of an effect then by all means they win the round. If it can't be determined who's punches had more effect in the round then I definitely prefer headshots, it's easier to see clean punches with head snapping, it's a smaller target & easier to defend against... That translates to more effective aggression & worse defence. Superficial facial damage is also irrelevant as some people can mark up easier especially lighter skin for obvious reasons. (i.e Pacquiao vs Broner, the clear winner looked like the loser when comparing faces) I stand on my opinion that the best case for Haney was a draw, I agree to disagree. ✌
