Thank you Lomi! I just got my first, a MSD. He's beautiful, but he needs so many pairs of jeans. I've been sewing for 20 years, never something so small so I really appreciate these tutorials. 💜

Oh gosh, if you've been sewing that long, I'm sure anything you make would blow my work out of the water! Still, I'm really glad I can offer a little help!

@@LomisPlayground I can make people sized clothes, sure! I've done American Girl sized clothes too, but the MSD is just proportioned sooo different. Have you any advice on making patterns to accomodate his anatomically correct middle area? 😂 it's like a hook!

@@LomisPlayground I've used your dress shirt pattern and shrunk it down to fit 1/4 scale doll. Made several that turned out very nice, a couple not so good, but getting better. I created a diorama with furniture that you would like, my pictures are on Pinterest under Todd B.

Do you have any tips for stopping small pieces of fabric from being eaten by the sewing machine? I have been making clothes that are around Pullip sizes, and I end up hand stitching everything because the fabric always gets pulled into the space between the feed dogs and gets ruined.
@LomisPlayground5 жыл бұрын
I still frequently have that problem with very fine fabrics, such as chiffon. One of the best things I've found is using a sheet of tearaway stabilizer can make a world of difference. I lay the pieces out on a piece of stabilizer and then sew. The stabilizer is very fabric-like and tears off very easily. But you can also use paper towels to do the same thing! Any fibers that remain in the seam tend to disappear when you wash it :)

Make sure your needle very sharp too!

I use thicker tissue paper and tear it away. Any little bits left I can usually remove with a lint roller or piece of sticky tape. I keep a small stack of pre-cut pieces by the machine about 2x3 or so. Saves me some pennies and recycles some paper.

Hi can you make a tutorial on how to make this pattern. newbie here ☺️☺️☺️

Those are so cute! My problem is actually getting/making the pattern for the pants in the first place lol

Oh, are you not able to download the patterns on my site?
@himbaek85335 жыл бұрын
@@LomisPlayground Oh no, I am! I just meant the dolls I have right now are Soulkids and their body measurements make it impossible for me to edit any patterns since I'm good at it haha

Are there sewing pins that you don’t need to remove while you stitch over them? I’ve seen people stitching over pins all the time. Thanks so much for patterns and the tutorials. I’m looking forward to my first minifee 😊.
@LomisPlayground5 жыл бұрын
Not that I know of. I used to sew over all my pins too, but then I hit one really hard one time when I was doing a last minute rush cosplay and it broke my machine's motor :| So that's a thing. I always try to remove them now, or when I can't, go VERY VERY SLOWLY so I don't destroy another sewing machine. Congratulations on your first Minifee! I've always wanted one to sew for, but have never been able to justify it. Maybe someday.

I'm in awe of your skill. The smallest things I've sewn are jeans for a larger MSD and those are tough. I can't imagine sewing something so tiny.
@LomisPlayground5 жыл бұрын
It's sort of funny, I sometimes feel like the smaller stuff is, the better I do at making it. I know the stuff I make for my Littlefee almost always ends up being my favorite stuff. I think it might just be my "sweet spot" for crafting? I dunno!
