London 2 Day Photo Challenge - Part 1 The Shard

Craig spends two days in london photographing three different locations and subjects. In part one, he photographs the Shard, shooting it from a variety of angles and viewpoints and with different filters.
The video, filmed in POV, looks at composition, filters, technique and how to photograph this icon building in a creative way.

Mad how you got to take shots from all those locations and do the videos all before the evening! Fantastic shots they are too. Next time I go to London I think I'll do the same. Great to have a theme or a constant thing when photographing I think. Keeps the creativity going

Excellent locations! The spot I like for the shot is inside the Tower of London. I like to juxtapose the White Tower (the oldest) and the Shard (the modern)

Fantastic video - really enjoyed this and the other two I've seen. A really good idea to set yourself a target like the shard and to photograph it from many angles. I think I'm going to try the same. St Paul's Cathedral comes to mind. Although not elevated, there are probably a lot of angles it can be shot from. Thanks! Please do keep up the videos :)

Hi Craig, lovely video as always! May I ask, do you usually use tripod for these city photo-walks? It seems a bit cumbersome, specially if you have to stand in the middle of the road to get the shot.

+Ricardo Bentes Many thanks. Sometimes I do use a tripod. It depends on the subjects I'll be shooting on the day, but for this shoot and video, no I didn't use a tripod.
