I really appreciate that you post these "as is". No background music added -- you just hear the sounds of the engine and other ambient sounds. Posted at actual speed, not at 2x or higher. No "cuts" at red lights or other things that might be viewed as "boring". We can skip forward or play at 2x if we want that. But I like seeing them as they actually are.
@jutah5 жыл бұрын
I've seen a lot of comments for and against the traffic lights. Leaving them in feels like the best option as the viewer has more options to skip or watch. I'm looking heavily into and now filming again in 360 video. As the hardware to film and view improves, this completely solves this issue! Thanks for commenting :)

Brent Hooton : totally agree. I want an experience that is as close as possible too driving their myself. This is one of the nicest parts of London, but this kind of videos make it unnecessary to visit areas that are too far away, too time consuming, too expensive or too dangerous to visit. Nowadays you can learn quiet a lot about a place by watching some videos without going there yourself. That is real progress.

The green hut at the side of the road at 0.53 is a rest stop and place to eat for London's black cab drivers. 'If you ain't a cabbie, you ain't comin in'. ( My best Cockney!) Dating back from the late 19th Century, of the original 60 (I stand corrected) or so, around 13 remain. The last remaining huts are now Grade II listed, meaning they are considered buildings of special interest. Non black cab drivers (especially Uber drivers!!!!) aren’t allowed to sit inside - unless issued with a rare invitation - but can order take away tea and sandwiches through a hatch..

2.38. On the left at Kensington High Street is one of the most stunning examples of Art Deco architecture in London; the huge Barkers department store building with its sweeping canopy and soaring decorated towers. The Daily Mail occupies much of the interior now with its fantastic lifts which are themselves works of art. It really deserves as much appreciation as the Hoover Building or any of the city' tours trap traditional sights, many of which are far less impressive in reality.

Johnny Buck - Sorry for my late reply but I didn't get a notification of your response at the time and only just noticed it after I got notification that someone like my comment)- anyway, zig zag lines are found just before and after what we call zebra (or pedestrian) crossings- vehicles are not allowed to park on them or to overtake the vehicle ahead on zig zag lines to prevent blocking the view of approaching traffic- they are also found near schools to make the area safer for children to cross the road (so there is a logic to our appparent madness 😊)- As a local I'm used to them, but having seen similar vlogs of driving around some American cities, I can see why it would be distracting for you, as British roads tend to have more artwork in comparison.

You need to say where you are passing through. Some of the roads are recognisable because of the buses, such the 52, which goes from Victoria to Notting Hill, Bayswater, London W11 and W2 near my old school. You passed by Portobello Road. It would be more interesting if you gave information on the areas being passed through: Kensington, Knightsbridge, Chelsea, etc
