London was the first city on Daniel Ilabaca's 8 city European tour. This is the behind the scenes of the filming we did and the freerunners we met.
It took 3 weeks, we drove over 4,000 miles and visited 8 countries but we did it! Daniel Ilabaca travelled across Europe to meet Parkour and Freerunning communities in London, Amsterdam, Cologne, Copenhagen, Vienna, Milan, Barcelona and Paris.
In each city we met and trained with the locals, did a bit of filming and then ended the day with a massive jam.
We filmed every step of the journey and over the next few months we'll be showing you what happened.
And all this happened because the nice people behind 'Brink' supported us. Check out Brink at www.brinkthegame.com

He doesn't hate games. He meant that, people are addicted to games because it's an easier way to achieve. And he encourages people to achieve something worthy of themself in real life, by encouraging 'parkour'. His definition of parkour.

As far as I know he's more or less stopped filming so much after doing that stuff for "Fight Science" documentary, which was in 2009 or 2010. He's still training, but he hasn't been producing any more videos since then.

@MaxwellHennasby When people perform drops from height they usually lower their center of mass to a level similar to what they are jumping from. In this case Daniel was upright, making his center of mass 3 ft higher. The drop was thus around 15-16 ft...on concrete. It was not a trivial drop.
@amarmirza08
@amarmirza08 12 жыл бұрын
@xxshadow4xx since i don't see an answer, I will offer my own. rightys tend to roll from your right shoulder to your left hip (so make a diagonal line across your back). Rolling spreads out the impact of a drop safely and a pk roll (the diagonal roll style) minimizes any pressure that would be put in your spine (unlike a gymnastics roll). Hope this helps buddy.

@amarmirza08 it does... but for either left or right, i can feel pain on my hips or back. I've experimented with a lot of places but they all hurt on concrete. Is it supposed to be like that?

Damien Walters is a gymnast and a traceur. But he's not better than Danny. I have not seen one person that is as clean as him nor have I seen anyone truly enjoy it as much as he does.
@amarmirza08
@amarmirza08 12 жыл бұрын
@xxshadow4xx A perfect roll shouldn't hurt at all so concentrate on what part of your body is hitting the ground causing the pain. Start off on grass till you get dive rolls smoothly. Then start doing standing rolls on concrete till it all becomes smooth. It sounds like you are hitting your lowerbody (hips/back) so try to tuck better so that it rolls to that point. Also try putting out your hands to kind of slap out at the end. I know people who do this to avoid that issue. Peace.
