This moving, beautiful piece is reminiscent of the Great Masters. Giacchino wrote the perfect music for those troubling scenes. I could listen to it for hours. Bravo! Bravissimo!

this is my pointe song this year and i love it so much! ♡ its so cool to dance to! whats also funny is since the music on the studios ipod automatically plays the next song we hit our ending pose for it then we start having a dance party to some minions music its so hilarious

This is such a great song, I was always disappointed that it was so short and only had one scene in the movie. This music touches me, and the extended version is even better. Usually when someone extends a song the monotonous repetition of phrases bored me, but it seems I could never stop listening to this song. The arrangement was beautiful and I believe quite ingenious, and whoever was behind this version has my gratitude. This is the version I'll play on piano when I learn this song. Just wow. I even enjoyed the shortened ending, though the suspense in the original was a part I liked. Just a great piece, beautiful arrangement, much respect.

The composer of the original knows how to make sounds into music, something rare these days. The whole song loses nothing in this form either, short or long it is a delight.

I love Michael Giacchino's music scores! I love his work on Star Trek and this piece because of the piano.
@Numbskill9 жыл бұрын
Giacchino is probably one of the most diverse composers out there. He did the music for The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Star Trek, Into Darkness, and more. Every score he does feels different. Maybe he could do the music for one of the Star Wars movies, since I was completely caught by surprise when I saw his name in the Jurassic World credits. I almost thought it was John Williams!!! He's doing the music for Star Trek Beyond, too!
@delluminatis8 жыл бұрын
+Numbskill tommorowland has nice score too. at least one of them. always has those "things" repeating at same rhytm in background which you can hear clearly at 1:01 in any score ive heard yet...
@vabien32688 жыл бұрын
He was offered the part for Star Wars, but declined, and instead Williams (Who btw is "his hero") composed it.
@Numbskill8 жыл бұрын
Well Michael Giacchino just composed the music for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and it was beyond perfect. If John dies, I want Michael to replace him.
@lovehatecomments8 жыл бұрын
I agree. M. Giacchino and Ramin Djawadi are my current favorite composers. I've followed M.G's work since Lost and every variation in his notes and themes are just mesmerizing. This one is perhaps the best example of how a piece suits the theme of a scene perfectly while working with a filmmaker you've collaborated with enough times to develop a shorthand. J.J Abrams working his magic to create a quick short moving scene to tell that side story effectively with just expressions and no words. While M.G writes a beautiful theme for a scene in a movie which would otherwise demand a more aggressive music aesthetic everywhere.

REALMENTE UNO QUEDA MARCADO POR LA BELLEZA DE ESTE TEMA. 1° COMIENZA LENTAMENTE, CASI COMO CANCIÓN DE CUNA O DE CUENTOS DE HADAS PARA NIÑOS. 2° ES SERENA EN PRIMER LUGAR, ARMONIOSA, BELLA, TRANQUILIZADORA, PERO, POCO A POCO COMIENZA A SUBIR LA INTENSIDAD EMOCIONAL Y SE DEMUESTRA QUE SE PONE MÁS TRÁGICA. 3° ES EL SERENO PRELUDIO DE UNA TRAGEDIA QUE INCLUYE, SOLO EN ESTA PRIMERA PARTE DEL TEMA LA ENFERMEDAD, INFANCIA, MUERTE, ESPERANZA, DOLOR, VENGANZA, TERROR, SERENIDAD Y PODER. 4° AL PARECER, MICHAEL GIACCHINO, COMO EL GRAN COMPOSITOR QUE ES, PUSO EN ESTE TEMA LONDON CALLING (LONDRES LLAMANDO), TODO EL RESUMEN DE LOS TEMAS A TRATAR EN LA PELÍCULA: BELLEZA, MALDAD, INOCENCIA, FUERZA, INTRIGA, SERENIDAD, MUERTE Y FUERZA. 5° OJALÁ FUERA MÁS LARGO, ESPECIALMENTE LOS PRIMEROS 50 SEGUNDOS. PERO ES APASIONADA Y BELLA. LA HE REPETIDO DECENAS DE VECES POR LO BELLA Y PARA CAPTAR EL MENSAJE EN FORMA DE MÚSICA QUE HAY EN ELLA.

The style of this piece reminds me of another composer whose main focus is jingles for commercials...Keith Kennith, who has penned a number of haunting pieces like “Years”, which was featured on Facebook, and Goldengrove, which was prominent in the commercial for the iPhone 4s and Siri. The two styles are very similar for this piece.
