This afternoon there was a major police response after an elderly man was stabbed several times during prayers at Regent's Park Mosque in London. A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but police say they are NOT treating it as a terrorist incident.

In any event this appears to be religiously motivated and the facts will become clear. I hope the Imam survives this horrible ordeal and we should all be thinking of him and his family at this moment not using the occasion to stir up yet more hate. If what you say is true. This was punishment according to Jewish Law. Not Islamic law. The Prophet could have had the Jew punished under Islamic law but this would have been disrespectful to the community. The gravity of adultery is evident by the fact that the Bible describes the offense as being punishable by the death penalty for both the man and the woman.

I don't think the motivation is hates against Islam, it is more to do with someone paid him to do it . Because the caller for the prayer in my case was the only one who scored from no body whatsoever when the truth matters. After when heard the story I wanted to know who was the man, Amezing I find out the woman who I helped translate for her, she got to become his wife, I pray for him a man of miracle, prize be to Allah.

If I was to hazard a guess although it's a longshot I would say he's from a far right group considering what's happened in Germany in the last 24 hours. European far right groups are well connected and are likely to coordinate attacks. Im probably wrong but we'll find out soon.
