Ah I've come down and done the same thing, but stopped before coming into the lane. Those coming the same way as you were thought I was going for the move so understandably they were shouting out at me. The problem is you need to get in before the cars come along and squish you. It definitely needs a little re-design.

In his defence, while this looks unbelievably bad, I remember dropping a similar b0ll0ck the first time I used one of those junctions. In my case, turning right onto Northumberland Ave and somehow failing to notice the oncoming bikes that I nearly collided with. I don't think they're the best designed bit of infrastructure when it comes to idiot-proofing. (And yes, I freely admit to matching that description in that instance!)

He isnt really tailgating doe, He's in another position of the lane (pos3 while the cyclist in front is in pos1) and has a bike and a half of distance (you can tell by pausing the video). Also how is he at fault?? Did he telephatically move the cyclist in orange??

Not really his fault, it's that junction and light system that does not allow a smooth flow of traffic...blame Sadiq Khan for this.
