I loved your vlog! I just accepted my offer at UCL for their History MA program and I was wondering what is the school like overall? Is the coursework challenging (in a good way) or too much? Also, I'm an international student so how is the social life on campus and what accommodation would you recommend for someone like me who is an international student? Any other tips or advice would be amazing!:)

Thank you so much! and congratulations, that is so exciting :) I really enjoy UCL overall. The coursework differs from each program but from my experience, if you are studying full time, it definitely is challenging and demanding but in a good way. I feel that I am encouraged to do my best and I enjoy what I am learning. I would say social life is ok, but I definitely haven't made the best effort to attend the postgraduate socials they offer so I'd take advantage of that. as for accommodation I have a portion in this video where I list some places you can find kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4OsXoNmedaHhqc but I personally live in a flat with other students I found through spareroomuk. Hope this helps :D

Is it common for grad students to live in accommodations or do they generally get their own apartment? Im thinking abt UCL for grad school!

UCL is great! it really depends, sort of mixed. I personally prefer and live in a flat with other students rather than student accom because I found it to be more affordable, but it really depends on each individuals situation/preferences.

Ah unfortunately there is no link for those. The Venizia tote is from a long time ago from a stall in Venice and the other tote is from Daunt book stores 😅

the studying, courseworks, etc are they hard?

It really depends on what you study and what you perceive as difficult. I am at a masters level, and I think with any masters level degree, it is a challenge. It is certainly not easy, you have to keep up with all of the readings/work/content. It is basically a full time job, if you choose to study full time. But I genuinely do enjoy what I am studying/learning so that's good :)

Hi! Sorry I never really discussed with students what degree level/grade we had but it really depends on whether your program is competitive, your personal statement and experience, because those definitely play a factor alongside grades
