Love this part of London, it's where I decided to settle. Grew up in Feltham Hounslow borough (rough times I had as a child), but have always had connections here and it really is a paradise in London (and I've lived all over). Twickenham is the sweet-spot. Well nice, no need to have one eye over your shoulder ever, and not pretentious like Richmond - Twickenham is a good mix of decent peoples. Having lived and traveled all over the world, this is where I choose to settle.

Richmond feels like it’s own little city away from the polluted stress machine that is London, hence why I’m moving over there next February! Its the one of two places within the Greater London boundaries I’d live in, I’m currently living in Blackheath which is also beautiful and similar to Richmond along with Greenwich

Far fewer horses in Richmond park - when /I was a child there were loads of them, the riding tracks were wide and well used, some of the houses around had stables in their gardens - but these seem to have now been converted into dwellings for humans as the prices for homes have skyrocketed.

Hi Dewyne! I used to get the H37 bus to Richmond with my college mates on one of our long lunch breaks during the late spring months. If we weren't dining in McDonalds, we used to sit by the river bank @3:50 and eat our Tesco sandwiches (how fancy, haha). I thought I''d give you an update to the comment I posted under this video of yours: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqTLqpehgZh6itE&lc=UgzDMW3R4SDlJd7bZb14AaABAg The last Southall Gasworks gas holders had been completely dismantled now, and the remnants of Southall's industrial history are quickly disappearing (the old Honey Monster Factory is still up for now). I'm sure you can get footage and images of the gas holder online. After much pressure to the council, three plaques have recently been unveiled on the 40th anniversary of the Southall Riots to commemorate Gurdip Singh Chaggar, Blair Peach, and Misty in Roots. I can provide you some photographs if needed. The main parts to film in Southall are King Street and The Green, South Road, Uxbridge Road, and if you have time, Norwood Green. Almost everything I mentioned in my original comment is along this route or just on the side roads. I've mentioned all the key moments in Southall's history, but if you need more help, I can get you in touch with a local historian. Looking forward to the video!

Hi again Dewyne. I saw your videos on London Live, and it reminded me to give you an update on Southall. One of London's oldest black-owned music venues, Tudor Rose, is under threat of demolition, to be replaced with private flats. It's housed in an iconic century-old multiplex. There's currently an ongoing campaign to stop it. The only local market, one of London's oldest dating back to 1698, is also under threat. The proposal is to build more private flats on the site of Southall Market, while the market itself will be shrunken and pushed onto the pavement. The old Barclays building near the train station will also be turned into flats. The train station itself will be getting a new building. The aforementioned demolished landmark, Southall Gasworks, is causing toxic gasses to be released, and some deaths have been attributed to it. The entire community is losing its character. I would like to see whatever is left immortalised in a video. Congratulations on making onto the television screens.
