possibly best dnb track ever written. I like the fact it's not only about rhythm, but combination of hypnotic tunes with great drum time signatures. The vocals are insane.

It's 2022 and this is still amazing. One of those projects I hope does't get lost in time like alot these days, they deserved so much more recognition. I remember the week this came out, this track always stood out one of the most, like everyones says those drums/tony's production with Liane's vocals is incredible.. I had their live band DVD growing up, I use to blast the shit out of that with my B&W/Rotel system back then pissing everyone off but my mother would still come and join in, London Elektricity were on another level/Tony alone too, but the band was just incredible noone was doing it like them back then (or even now?) so professional for the DNB scene. I wonder how Jungle drummer is too, and everyone else. Sorry ramble :)

London Electricity (ft.Liane Caroll) - This Dark Matter Listen with a good sound system preferably in a closed room with surround sound or in the car with a good stereo system (best place in at as you can feel the music more through vibrations) , volume to 2/3 of max, bass to around 8/10, treble to 6/10) Wait for the journey to unfold. Have the patience, and start the journey, wait till the bass kicks in, then the lead vocals. The journey builds up and culminates into the main message this track has been trying to convey, the enormity and emotion that underpins that message. Then the journey continues in search of the question that can satisfy the message's quest. The background vocals support and lend weight to the meaning. Finally it leads to an end that has no end, because that statement is timeless. What is THAT statement/message? The answer is "Life is so sweet, but it's only complete, with your face, before me"

Just imagined a late Remixes EP release. If it were up to me, in all my respect for London Elektricity, past and present, I'd steer the direction further afield - turn to some classic faces. 7 producers for every year that's passed since its conception. Here are my choices and my own manifestations of their reinterpretations, off the top of my head: A-Side:A1) London Elektricity - This Dark Matter (feat. Liane Carroll) (Calibre's Touch of Grass ReFeel)A2) London Elektricity - This Dark Matter (feat. Liane Carroll) (dBridge's Autonomic Syncopation Edit)A3) London Elektricity - This Dark Matter (feat. Liane Carroll) (Goldie's Back to 95' Timeless Reprise)B-Side:B1) London Elektricity - This Dark Matter (feat. Liane Carroll) (Alix Perez's Heavenly City - 1998 Refix)B2) London Elektricity - This Dark Matter (feat. Liane Carroll) (Akkord's Future City Vision feat. Fis)B3) London Elektricity - This Dark Matter (feat. Liane Carroll) (Amon Tobin's Dark Jovian Matter)B4) London Elektricity - This Dark Matter (feat. Liane Carroll) (Marcus Intalex, S.P.Y & High Contrast Synchronized VIP w/ London Elektricity)Bonus Track (Digital Copy & Vinyl Pre-Order's Only):A4) London Elektricity - This Dark Matter (feat. Liane Carroll) (Extended Live & Revised Version)Dream come fucking true
