They never had enough water for the size fires they had to fight. At some point a building must be considered beyond saving, and trying to put it out is just an exercise in futility. The fire turns water to steam if there is not enough water for the size fire you are fighting. Hence you are just making steam and not doing anything. That being said it is understood that the fireman felt they had to do something. Unfortunately many died due to their heroic actions.

The point is IF they didn't fight the fire it would spread and in that they very successful. No cities water mains could possibly supple the number of pumping appliances even if they weren't damaged so the main supply was the Thames. I wouldn't say it was anything like 'propoganda' it was entire truthful.

I love the government narrator in this bit of propaganda, how he pretty strongly suggests that most of the fire is the fault of the property owners themselves, for storing goods on their property and then locking thanks

They were in a war to the death with Nazism, and you're quibbling about "propaganda"?

You really are beyond stupid, and clearly unaware the London Blitz was terrifying for the firemen and Londoners alike.
