Not really, no. London has ancient Roman and Anglo-Saxon ruins, and sits on top of many more of those treasures that are discovered with every new build. Then there’s the 1,000 year old Tower of London, plus chapels, abbeys, churches and cathedrals that go back centuries. And mixed in between all of that, alongside all the green spaces, are Edwardian, Victorian, Georgian and modern buildings all sharing their own little patches across the Capital. And yeah, it also has the run-down housing estates typical of every metropolis. London has a bit of everything.

If it's about modernity, New York is more beautiful than London, but London definitely has more quality of life than New York, probably cleaner and with politer better dressed people. However, when it comes to skyscrapers, nothing compares to New York, it's not about height, it's about iconicity.
