Its taken me 12 ballot attempts to get my first London, yes, of course it was going to land a week after the Berlin marathon. Here's my vlog of the London Marathon 2022. I ran London marathon in 2016 for charity.

Huge congratulations, both medals look fab especially with the braille on the London medal. I volunteered at blue start last year and it was a great experience to see all the runners starting off. I went to London Bridge after and the atmosphere was brilliant! 🎉

2 HUGE marathons one week apart !! Absolutely fantastic 👏 and what an achievement! Everytime you watch someone crossing London Bridge that feeling of emotion just comes over you doesn't it. Even when you were running to the finish line I could have cried for you as I know that feeling all too well.

What a fantastic time, especially for your first. Just incredible. I'm going to watch/support at Leeds as I have a few friends doing it. Make sure you get plenty of rest in between them. You're going to be fab. Thanks for your support 😁

I just found this video. Great work on the back to back marathons. I’ll be running London this year. I just started training. Looking forward to the course.

Thank you. I'm also back for London this year 🙈 Vlogging my training this time round. Good luck with your training, it's a fantastic race
Since my comment thread was growing longer in your Berlin video I will now ask you here haha. First of all double congratulations !! Massive feat !! Proves the top shape you are in. Q: what was your hydration & fuelling strategy ? I see you were not carrying any water. What about fueling? If you could share details like quantity, frequency, what brand it will be v helpful. Thx

Haha don't worry 😅. Thank you very much. So I did train with a hydration pack which had a 1 litre bladder in, which was filled with either water and juice. Then I use to carry two bottles of the cheaper version of lucazade. I didnt carry the hydration pack on races as both London and Berlin had so many water stations. Then the only thing I carried was Gels in a flip belt. I take Gels around every 4 miles but at Berlin didnt take my 20 mile one as my stomach was feeling a little sore, I had been ill prior to this so wasn't surprised. Hope this helps 😁

I’m running London in April thanks for the vlog it is so inspiring I’m so nervous and was going drive down from hull on Saturday would you advise going Friday instead ??
@DanniiAndStuRunningAdventures Жыл бұрын
Aww, thank you. Good luck for London, it's honestly amazing, and you'll have a fantastic day. I didn't find the expo crazy at London, and a couple of my friends went Saturday and had no issues. I like to go down Friday as I get quite nervous, so it gives me a chance to settle my nerves on the Saturday 🤣
