I think I was possibly the first person to thrash a Norton F1 down the M1, delivered to Fast Bikes magazine in Woking. I remember truck drivers giving me the thumbs up and a small crowd at Watford services. Of course, I might just be getting senile......... Another good video... :-)

Terry Rymer/Ian Simpson raced Nortons in the BSB in the 90s, Simpson won the Championship on one I think. Steve Hislop won the TT on one too in the 90s again. I remember they didn't have sponsorship on the bike and Rymer just had black leathers too. He looked badass against other multicoloured bikes and riders.

A friend of mines dad had an Ariel square four in original condition as delivered to his motorcycle business in my home town of Beverley he never sold it and when he retired it was moved to his workshop at home in retirement he built motorcycle wheels and always told me the Ariel was his pension fund to my knowledge he never sold it he died many years ago ! I wonder were it went after his death I remember it was wrapped in brown wax paper to protect it and kept in a massive wooden crate .
