It is very walkable. When I visited London I got the bus pass for the duration of my stay, but ended up never using it. My hotel was in Covent Gardens, and I just kept enjoying the walks too much. I saw all but one of the museums I wanted to see. All the historical and even spooky places I wanted to see. And there were just so many wonderful things I would have missed if I had taken the bus.

Woohoo yeah it is indeed an experience. Glad you enjoyed it. I attended the 1st New Years Fireworks for 1999/2000 millennium. I was under the then newly constructed London Eye at the front by the River, Unforgettable. I did it again in 2006. However back then it was a Free event for all. Now its a pricey ticketed event.

This is the first time I've seen it that smokey, the wind must've been in the wrong direction, I watched it on TV and they had to film from behind the London Eye so they could be seen, wasn't lucky enough to be there unfortunately 😁👍

I do not know if you knew about it but every New Years Day in London they have a parade with thousands of people marching through. There are hundreds of American cheer leaders and college bands that take part every year. It is very good you should look it up on You Tube. Another lovely video from a lovely couple, well done :-)

Absolutely! :P The London Eye was meant to start moving that night, if you stare at a wheel like that long enough, it starts to look like it is moving.... every few minutes a massive cheer would go up "It's Moving!!!! AAHHHHhhhhh oh no it's not." Never did move that night!
