London rings in 2024 with spectacular fireworks display | New Year's Eve

Tens of thousands of revellers started 2024 with a bang as fireworks and drones lit up the sky over London and told the world the city is “A Place for Everyone”.
After the bongs of Big Ben sounded midnight, “London: A Place for Everyone” was written high above the crowds as the unity-themed display welcomed the new year.
In a display that lasted almost 15 minutes, 100,000 people cast their eyes to the sky to take in the firework, laser, and drone spectacular.

As an American with British roots. I was shocked to see the throngs of pro palestinians in London. And then after learning more about what's going on, just blown away by the fact that over the past 20 years, London went from 96% people with Brit ancestry to a mere 36%. Unbelievable. @@Mark-ib2st An awful lot of money is spent on the London show and it's rehearsed a couple of times before the main event in the early hours of the morning. I'm pretty sure the live vision mixers hover over the button should anything not be going to plan and insert a second or two from rehearsal when needed. Then again, the BBC is very good at massive live events like the Queen's funeral which involved hundreds of camera setups seamlessly. The soundtrack is certainly not presented live for the TV broadcast because that would be impossible which is why it isn't included in news agency coverage from the likes of AP and AFP. The BBC has global clearance rights coverage for most music outside of Michael Jackson and the Beetles.
