Yes same feeling re licorice in tea! Have you tried Bird & Blend loose leaf tea? Their flavours are amazing, there's a Buttermint one that tastes so yummy!

I can definitely recommend going to a gig solo! I do it quite a lot because my music taste is quite eclectic 😂 so no one else wants to join me! I think they put liquorice in herbal tea to make it sweeter!
