I grew up in the 90s going with my grandad in his artic every school holiday I loved it cant tell you how much I loved it going all over the country. I always thought I’d be a driver but I’m not I’m a gas engineer lol. Anyway he has dementia now and he doesn’t have a clue who I am which is heartbreaking 💔 so I found myself binge watching your vlogs aswell as the other drivers to remind me of the good old days with my grandad. Hi Martyn, I had 2 loads of stone to Grateley near Andover last Friday and the dubious pleasure of going past Stonehenge twice, Eastbound on the first run no problem, Westbound usual problem around the stones, 2nd run slow both ways🤨 my 4 o'clock finish went completely out the window finshed at 6 instead😅 have a good week 😊

Agree that your troubles getting to surrey quay was bridges, Bermondsy, Depford and Surrey docks are criss crossed by railways manyof which ar 14-6 or worse. The old RT bus got away witth it as they were only 13-6, so no following a bus route

For that area we always used to go round the M25 then up the A2. A lot more miles but a lot easier and quicker IF the M25 behaved itself!
