London, such a beautiful City! I just read a memoire written by my 3rd times Great Grandmother. They moved away from London in the 1800's where my 3rd time Great Grandfather became licensee of a lovely thatched pub in the middle of the beautiful Hampshire countryside. I thought how idyllic that must have been, only to read that she shut herself upstairs and cried for weeks as she missed her beloved London so much. She was apparently desperately homesick forever more. Made me really appreciate our City even more.
