Southbound Victoria tube platform was the northbound Northern City line tube platform between Moorgate and Finsbury Park, the two northbound tunnels were new prior to the Victoria lines opening, with the current Great Northern being shunted into a new platform to meet the Victoria line for cross platform interchange, using step-plate Junctions. If traveling north on the Great Northern into/from Highbury, you can see the old tunnels on the right to Drayton Park. The southbound Victoria line tunnel has a reversing crossover a long way north from Highbury platform and dives up to meet the platform, as has to dive under the northbound Great Northern platform.

I was fortunate enough to ride the Northern City Line prior to 1975 when it was still part of the Underground, by then just a Drayton Park - Moorgate shuttle, worked with 1938 Stock. The 313's which took over the following year, had worked the line ever since, right through to 2019, when they were ultimately replaced.. Examples of 313's can still currently be seen and ridden on the South Coast, on journeys between Brighton, Seaford, Littlehampton and Portsmouth.

1 and 2 are the original North London line, "7" and "8" had been closed for many years, platforms 3 to 6 had been taken by the underground platforms. So when the East London line was extended to Highbury & Islington they had to take 7 and 8.

Very interesting to see your style develop over time. If I can ask, why did you decide to go with the Fujifilm XT-2?
@Luftschlange7 жыл бұрын
I shot on a Canon DSLR before and often I found myself leaving the camera at home, simply because it was too heavy to carry around the whole day. I was looking for something lighter and I chose the Fuji X-T2 because it has excellent image quality (both video and stills), a very engaging manual shooting experience (I mostly shoot in manual mode), and a fantastic selection of high quality lenses. Also, the built-in film simulations render beautiful colours, so there is practically no need to colour grade the videos in post.
@roryonabike58637 жыл бұрын
Thanks, the Fuji is one of the cameras that I'm currently considering.
@roryonabike58637 жыл бұрын
I'm getting closer to a decision about a new camera and I keep coming back to your videos. The Fuji simulations are very impressive. Quite a different look from most of what is on KZbin. If I can ask, does the image stabilisation in the 18-55mm lens help with your videos, or are you relying on some other method of stabilisation?
@Luftschlange7 жыл бұрын
+Rory on a Bike The stabilisation is great, in fact, I am shooting all of this handheld. Obviously, you should still hold still, but it’s good to smoothen small shaking motions
