Just 2 miles from the City and 3 miles from Trafalgar Square, Islington has always been an ideal place to live for bankers, politicians, media types and hipsters alike.
Walk with me through Upper Street, Camden Passage and the back streets of Islington, as we discover hidden alleyways, grand squares, "Egyptian-esque" architecture and amazing Victorian villas - not forgetting the cafes and shops that line the pretty streets.
Islington really has it's own distinctive relaxed feel.
