This is such a cool project! The amount of cross-referencing you must do between sources to make such a faithful recreation makes my head spin. I love how cool and calm your commentary is, nature documentary vibes 😊 Subscribed so I can follow along with this project!

It certainly keeps progress pretty sedate having to alt tab between reference images. Nature documentary was exactly what I was going for, so I'm glad that came across! Thanks so much!

You've inspired me to make London Zoo 1904. I can literally smell the tea and scones through the screen. 🇬🇧

Great work. I followed your project since you started posting on the official forum (and in the past months only frequented the forum to see if you posted an update :D). I am so exited that you make videos now.

This looks great! The use of the pitchforks for the barrier is absolutely genius

As they say - when life hands you a load of straight metal pieces that are too long, make a fence out of pitchforks. Glad you liked it!

i love the walk thru videos over the build videos. i know id like to see more videos with just the walk thru style using just the in game sounds, like im walking thru the zoo

"So I've made do with ropes..." At around 6:30 I was thinking "ha, funny that you've had to use potted plants as decorations" and then the photograph appears showing... They really did just have potted plants in there

will you add the famously housed extinct Quagga and Thylacine
@ralphthestick Жыл бұрын
There were thylacines at London Zoo in 1904, so I will be adding them (probably only a placeholder species as I'm a bit scared of mods), but the quagga was already gone by this point - the last one at London Zoo died in 1872, and the last of the whole species died in 1883 (in Amsterdam Zoo)

This is such an interesting project. My best guess is that the Spanish Pleurodyle might be _Pleurodeles waltl_.
@ralphthestick10 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, that seems very likely. I might have given it a bit of a scrubby terrarium in that case, but at least it’s got a bit of leaf litter!

This could be a update,to make smaller terrariums for bugs,snakes and insects
@ralphthestick Жыл бұрын
Definitely a more realistic option for insects than a 4m cube!

4mx4mx4m is still a pretty big space for a snake - I don't think there's a single room in my flat with those dimensions!
