Mr. Kelsang Gyaltsen was born in Batang, Tibet. Following escape from Tibet, he studied in India and then moved to Switzerland where he completed his studies. Mr Kelsang Gyaltsen served the Central Tibetan Administration in India and then was appointed as a representative of His Holiness for middle and south Europe. He then worked as a political secretary to His Holiness and later appointed to envoy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to European Union and to the People’s Republic of China. He was also a member of the Tibetan Task Force for dialogue with China.
