Our gym is probably around 150 feet long, so everyone struggles. This year (5th grade) I got 36, which was second highest in the class, I have asthma and at the end I could barely breathe, I was getting tunnel vision like CRAZZZYYY

The two kids in the lead were declared to have tied. The test instructions did not make clear to the students that they should keep going til they were eliminated under the rules, not making it back or forth for the full length.

We were cheering on the students. The top competitors got a medal they were awarded for their accomplishments. Other school activities went on for art, school tours, grandparents, even, could meet the teachers. It was a more fun event with little brothers and sisters, moms, dads and others able to share in the competition.

It's always good to hear about someone who has tried their best. You don't have to compare to others, but if you go through the PACER process again, I hope you get in better shape to be able to do better next time. You're still young and have a lot of time to improve on what you'll be able to do, and it may not be athletics. Be bold. Be confident, and keep your eyes, ears and interests in developing new skills open to exploring new possibilities. There will be many opportunities to guide who you are into who you want to become for the future. I wish you well!

Practice makes perfect, so any chance you have to practice, to get a little bit more in shape, to PACE yourself for the retake, to prepare to do better, should be an example of how you approach other challenges in life. I give you credit for wanting to do better, but as I started out saying in an earlier part of our exchange, do your best!
