Big agree that the wilderness shouldn't contain metas for non-pvp long term grinds like exp and clues! I also think that a good fix to the ring of wealth (i) would be changing it to increase larren key drop rates by ~25% instead of doubling clue rates.

Also I feel like I will never personally invest time into doing clues bc leagues scroll boxes are the only FUN iteration of clues to me, with ADHD, i need to be able to tunnel vision that content and i don't do very well pivoting from piece of content to content, i've had every tier of clue in my bank for months at this point

Thats why I use watson and only do master clues now. When I get a clue, I just keep it, then drop em at watson. Generally you wait on elites. So whenever I finish a task with an elite I go grab my master and do it, then get back to whatever content I want

I’ve always said that I will NEVER vote “yea” on stackable clues because it’s not OSRS (it’s leagues bs). But I started doing masters only about 3 months ago and it’s pretty fun. Stackable clues would totally make it better lmaoooo. Can’t believe I’d probably vote “yes” on it if it were ever polled.

Regarding the "plugins making pvm easier" part and since WoW was brought up they have the same issue like was mentioned. They have "weakauras" which lets you make a custom overlay from code that basically dumbs down every boss mechanic. Some people claim it's a problem because the WoW devs will balance the hardest content assuming people are using these external tools and top guilds even have players on their team purely to code and make these private weakauras/other addons that ofc they don't share with the public. Though eventually as other guilds get further into the raid other addons/weakauras get made for everyone to use. While I agree that fully utilizing plugins can defo give an advantage in RS, I don't think it's ever a hard requirement to do content (at a normal level) As long as jmods design content well by having predictable/reactive mechanics that are well telegraphed so anybody can understand them I don't think the current plugins are a problem (biased since I'm a heavy plugin user). It would only be a problem imo if like you said the jmods randomly started designing endgame content that was borderline impossible because they somehow thought the legal runelite plugins would make it fully braindead which would be a serve misjudgment

There are a dozen different ways Jagex can do "stackable" clues, I would prefer if they worked like the old WT supply crates where each clue takes an inventory spot AND bank spot. That way we can keep the method of the elite clue sherlock step skip, and the master clue crytpic skip.

I don’t think retroactively increasing drop rates is necessary. A large part of RuneScapes identity is the grind and to take that away would be unfortunate. As LGR mentioned newer content is easier to greenlog and is being catered towards mid game anyways

So I know you don't play leagues, but basically your shop idea is what leagues shops are like. The items never deplete, every time you close the shop the inventory refreshes (so if you are selling a bunch of different items from your bank, each time you don't have to hop for the shop to have space), and also an effect of always refreshing the shop is you never get the "you cannot take advantage of lower prices due to overstock" message. I mean league is literally 100% ironman players, so the way league shops work is the most advantageous way for shops to work for ironman. The only issue is the quantities, so if a shop has under 50 of an item, you can only buy that amount per click, you can't actually buy the amount you want in 1 action as if it was infinite. edit: and to your actual suggestion of removing shopscape, I love the idea, but I hate it because UIM meta revolves heavily around it. I mean crafting is glass blowing (shops) or tzhaar gems if you have gp (shops) or cranes (shops). And smithing meta is giants foundry if you aren't doing gold, but the way UIMs do foundry is with buying platebodies (shops). So they would definitely need to add new ways to get crafting/smithing supplies (obviously outside of pvm, as that would be the only way to get noted supplies for UIM)

items need to be attainable and flex items need to be less attainable. Things like blorva and fang kit are for the big gamers. Imagine if the fang kit was a 1/25 from 500s you couldn't go for the item with a "one and done" mindset. you need to grind to master the content. I know it's not a huge deal now but like all flex items it gets devalued over time. The team needs to figure out where an item belongs in account progression and balance the time to acquire around it. They clearly don't have a proper system because look at the original huey drops that came out after we had a huge discussion about drops and rebalanced phosani. It's not about mains vs irons. moneymaking vs clogging. Any player doing boss content wants to be rewarded. Big ticket items can be in that 100-200 range like shadow but do we need them to make the new upgraded boots 100 hours to artifically increase gp/hr and engagement?
