You can tell LONE has had some experiences with psychedelics, from the imagery and satisfaction when listening under the influence. This is my fucking jam right here, LONE is a musical genius when it comes to Lo-Fi House and Breakbeat, his chords are beautiful and his drum tracks are god-tier.

this song is basically an acoustic translation of acid. and even maybe some ecstasy
@rb33485 ай бұрын
I believe it's more about extasy (pretty obvious when you've named an album "extasy and friends") but pleaaaase don't associate lo-fi house with LONE, not even breakbeat, LONE has his own genre. And idk if this is about psychedelics, I think he was touched by an angel and this is what angels listen to in their airpods after a long shift in heaven.
@kualajdm5 ай бұрын
@@rb3348 He is categorically Lo-Fi House and Breakbeat. He has a unique sound and vibe, yes, but it is just like Aphex Twin, he has an ethereal, syncopated, chopped up vibe to most of his tracks but he's still just an IDM producer. "Having your own genre" is pretty redundant when the majority of all music is derivative of at least one other genre.

I love Lone. I listened to Galaxy Garden, Reality Testing, and Levitate on repeat throughout the entire first two years of med school.
@kaylemkerr69895 жыл бұрын
HeavyProfessor Have you listened to his classic albums such as ‘Lemurian’ and ‘Ecstasy and Friends? As well as the more known ones I’m a fan of his first album ‘Everything is Changing Colour’ but I know that it’s not for many people’s taste especially if they’re not familiar with Boards of Canada and like that band/duo. Lone is probably my favourite musician after BoC which is funny considering I was introduced to the band by researching their influence on Lone’s style.
@HeavyProfessor5 жыл бұрын
@@kaylemkerr6989 yes, I like much of his earlier stuff more. As a whole, I like his earlier stuff more. However, there are specific newer tracks that are my favorite. I love BoC as well. Aphex is my favorite (a la AFX, The Tuss).
