Who did the voice of TTT (TERRIBLE TINY TOM)???? Also finally realized the plot is a clever reworking of Ulysses and the Cyclops myth-use of brain power over giant brawn...The scriptwriters (besides the great guest villain voices) deserve a lot of credit for the basic yet clever stories !...

The voice was supplied by Dick Beals.

As a kid this was my second favorite episode. The only better one was when the Lone Ranger was protecting the Navy's secret ship from "The Fly".

Did anyone in the days when the Lone Ranger was said to have lived actually have the technology to build a giant robot?
@bloodgrss2 жыл бұрын
It might have been possible to build the body, but the proper and workable power supply would have been an issue...

It's a lot like that western show "Wild Wild West," which was supposed to be set in the days of the Old West (the same time period as the "Lone Ranger" stories), yet it was full of sophisticated technology that would not have existed in those days, and would be more akin to what we might see in a James Bond movie. (The program first went on the air when Sean Connery was appearing in the first few "Bond" films) "Wild Wild West" was probably inspired by the 007 movies and may be considered a 19th Century version of Ian Fleming's fictional secret agent. Notice too that these Lone Ranger cartoons are different from the classic radio and television series, in which the episodes depicted a more realistic version of the real wild west, showing the masked man and his Native American friend fighting the type of crooks who would have existed in the western United States of the 19th Century, like outlaws, rustlers, stagecoach robbers, land and/or oil swindlers, crooked bankers, dishonest lawmen, etc. In the animated Lone Ranger episodes, the "bad guys" were often highly unusual criminals, who often had their own gimmicks, like Tiny Tom (in this video here), who used live "toys" to commit crimes (his iron giant, miniature soldiers, a Jack-in-the-box that's really a bomb, etc). Other outlandish crooks were the Puppet Master (who used giant puppets in his crimes, including his attempts to kill the Lone Ranger), the Fly (who could crawl over walls, ceilings, roofs, etc, with the help of suction cups), Quicksilver (an old man who found an elixir that could make him decades younger), and so on. Maybe the writers and/or producers of the animated "Lone Ranger" were trying to appeal to youngsters who were fans of the live action "Batman" series, which, like the comic book stories, featured some of the weirdest lawbreakers who ever appeared on TV, like the Joker, the Penguin, the Riddler, Catwoman, etc. The British spy drama "The Avengers" was also full of strange malefactors, like the "Needle," who lived in a giant bale of hay.

Why does Tiny Tom sound like Milhouse VanHouton??😮😅

Similar to the Road Runner's "The Solid Tin Coyote"- which Format Films animated for Warner Bros. at the same time. The Coyote suffers the same fate "Tiny Tom" did- only with more stupidity.
