I love the Mountain Project guys and their families. It must have been an adventure just to hang around them.

Every time my wife and I pass through Vaughn we talk about those billboards of the cowboys. I like to think they are opposing ranches on each side of the highway. Great video.

Funny story, the two guys pointing at each other across the road are actually two brothers that own that land. They are quite the characters.

Every time I see an aoudad hunt, I want to hunt them even more. I'm looking at New Mexico, maybe next year for a graduation trip.

Cool hunt!! Seems like traveling in the Excursion was as much of an adventure as chasing the aoudad.
@stoneglacier96362 жыл бұрын
Yes going more than an hr in one direction is an adventure in that old girl haha.

What bullet/cartridge did you shoot that last ram with?
@stoneglacier96362 жыл бұрын
Not sure what caliber Chase was shooting.

Gotcha. Tough animal to not get a pass through at that distance

Did you pack the meat out? If so, how was it?
@stoneglacier96362 жыл бұрын
Yes we did pack some meat out. It was definitely edible but you'll want to add some seasoning to it.

Aoudad meat is usually tough, but cook it slow like a pot roast or grind it into sausage and it can be pretty good

10 minutes into the 22 minute long video, they actually start hunting. Does anyone actually enjoy watching them order fast food on the drive into the hunt? Once the hunting video started, I enjoyed it. Good shooting and nice rams.

The first ten minutes of this video is pointless filler footage. No one is here to see your road trip snacks and vehicle maintenance.

It might’a went a little long but we thought it made it more real, after all snacks and maintenance seem to be constants in road-trip hunts. Cool to see the country on the drive

Apparently some folks have never been on a road trip or have so much money they never have vehicle problems! I for one enjoyed the WHOLE video.
