Another beautiful but larger scale masterpiece!!! You are so amazingly QUICK!!! These colors are my favorites... Blues, greens, and yellows. I'm sure you don't remember the collection. That is what I find frustrating sometimes! I'll see something that is no longer available! Not that there isn't plenty to choose from now. I lOVE THIS VIDEO!!!

...breaking up what is usually the large setting squares into triangles as well as the large setting triangle into 2 smaller ones make a world of difference and the final look of the block is pretty much the same...the only difference I can see is one has saved themselves a ton of aggravation and frustration. Here's an extra "thank-you"....you deserve it.

Great instructions on how to make this block :-) I especially liked how at 1:35 and 2:02 you showed very clearly where to place the ruler so as to get the diagonal cuts, but the background music . . . ah . . . not so much, so I turned off the sound. I think I'd like to make at least a throw size quilt with these instructions with each lone star probably having scrap strips from different lines of fabric but all have a shared color or tone-on-tone background. Thanks!

You certainly can go scrappy with this one. Would lo pave to see what you make 😊

If you cut the second strip set with the wrong side up, you will have a better result because then all of the fabric grain will be going in the same direction once you have sewn all of the diamonds together. It will lay flatter and be more stable.

I’m getting some of this, but you’ve got some seams that you’ve indicated are pressed to one side, and then suddenly, some seams are pressed open, and you don’t show which seam allowances are pressed open or why. There‘s a truck ton of missing info and measurements here that make it even hard for someone familiar with sewing to follow.

Well, about pressing I don’t give directions because I don’t follow them myself. Usually I press open when there’s going to be a bulky seam. The traditional way though is to press towards the darker fabric
