5:05 the caption oml It's literally generalizing that every muslim woman spends their time in home like ???? Noo??? Im a Muslim woman, I go to School for studies, I go for Trips with family and frinds, I travel abroad. Many more girls like me does it. The issue here is that she probably comes from a family where they are strict on muslim girls leaving home. And most likely her husband plays a part in it since it quite common. I've seen it quite a lot amongst my friends and relative.

5:20 she says about how she feels lonely because all her friends and relatives are in Bangladesh and there's no one she knows in Korea to get along with. And she mentions that she's a Muslim woman so she can't go out however she wants and can't do much going outside like nah sorry, it's a restrictions to move around freely from parents and spouse. It's allowed in islam for women to go outside. But it's suggested to go out with a male for protection. Sigh. I'm not even surprised since this is quite common. I'm disappointed that this still goes on. Bangladeshi will protect their culture by using Islam as a defense.

I do understand where you are coming I'm sorry this video has given you this impression however that is culture not Islam - women can more than freely go out if safe to do so in fact the first university EVER in the WORLD (ie before oxford Cambridge harvard etc) was a Morrocan university founded by Muslim women. Islam is very liberating for women if you read into it for example one of the last things our Prophet said was to take of women. Please feel free to ask any more questions / if you would like to know more. I hope this has cleared up some misunderstandings!! :)

​@@tichtran664 yes indeed very true, it was only for men and that is because of culture not the religion. as a Muslim living in Indonesia with the biggest Muslim population in the world, we're not like that 😊 in Saudi Arabia, only a couple of years ago they allowed women to drive. But in Indonesia, women can do anything they want, we have a lot of women as our national hero and veteran during the time when we were colonized. In Indonesia, a lot of us are free to choose whether we want to wear our hijab or not. Some choose because they want, some choose because their family pushed them to wear, some choose to wear it just because they study at islamic university, some wear it just for work because they have colored hair and in here having bright colored hair is still considered unprofessional. I only wear hijab for 4 years because I went to Islamic University, and I only wear it to class, outside uni I don't wear it at all. All women in my big family are working women and only 3 of them wear hijab while we have 16 women in total. Some families are more open while some are more conservative because they follow the 'culture' that's mixed with the religion by certain people. I'm saying all of this to show that Islam is not forcing the women to just stay in the house, it's all culture, it's the culture in most middle eastern countries or the country near them. My professor that teaches Islamic Law said that the religion is so beautiful but the people are not, especially the people that keep mixing culture with religion or mixing our national law/politics with religion. Muslims Women can do anything they want as long as it's not bothering/harming others.
